Objectives
Life Skills Education programme in tribal residential schools aims :-
- To enhance knowledge and skills among adolescent of SC& ST community through live skill education programme.
- To promote adolescent friendly environment in 1733 residential schools by engaging with key stake holders.
Coverage
- 30 districts across the state
- Upper Primary school-705, Secondary school-452 total 1157 schools for life skills based SRH education.
- Additionally 576 primary schools for engaging with stakeholders for promotion safety and enabling platform for students
School health Programme under Ayushman Bharat Programme Aims
- To provide age appropriate information about health and nutrition to the students in school.
- To promote healthy behaviour among the children that they will inculcate for live.
- To detect and treat diseases including anaemia among the school going student and appropriate referral for care and treatment
In Phase-1, the school health programme covers 10 aspirational districts (Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Koraput. Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nuapada, Nabarangapur, Malkanagir, Bolangir, Kalahandi) and detail of coverage as below
